Claire's Story
Claire is a Newcastle based singer/songwriter with soul. With over 25 years experience performing both locally and internationally, her focus is on delivering a dynamic stage performance which has earned her the moniker 'The little hurricane'.
Her strength in writing is as a lyricist and she writes songs that tell a story and touch the soul. Her music combines infectious pop hooks and dynamic vocals that float above a bed of sophisticated grooves. Her EP 'No Use' delivers Classic rock and R’n B elements, peppered with delicate stringed arrangements. This combines to create a fresh sound that brought acclaim when it was featured on NOVA FM's 'Unsigned Sydney'.
As well as the release of her EP, some career highlights have been performing to an audience of over 30,000 people at the Bledisloe Cup in Hong Kong Stadium and being a finalist in the prestigious Vanda and Young Song Writing Competition for her song Josephine's (Amazing Get A Life Machine).
A member of the legendary band The Nevilles for 13 years, a group best known for their high-energy performances on Channel Nine's The Footy Show, Claire has toured nationally and internationally, sharing the stage with countless acts and bringing her powerhouse vocals to audiences around the world. Today, Claire leads her own local outfit, CC Lee & The Groove, and continues to perform as a freelance vocalist across a wide variety of projects. With a strong passion for songwriting, she is also working on new original material with an album in progress.
